Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings are determined using three main criteria:
- Scoring differential:
- Based on 75% of the player’s lowest round scoring differentials (Score – USGA Course Rating™) over the past year.
- Measures performance against course difficulty during tournament play.
- Scores from incomplete rounds or tournaments may be included if they are among the player's best 75%.
- Strength of Field:
- Evaluates the competitiveness of tournaments the player has participated in.
- Lower values indicate stronger competition.
- Finish:
- Points are awarded for tournament finishes based on field size and performance:
- Wins (overall or age group-specific).
- Top 5 finishes for fields of 10 or more players.
- Top 10 finishes for fields of 20 or more players.
