About the Accelerated Golf Tour (AGT)

Founded in 2010, the Accelerated Golf Tour (AGT) was created to offer affordable, high-quality summer golf tournaments for advanced high school and collegiate golfers. With two distinct divisions—Collegiate (Men and Women) and High School (Men and Women)—players compete on the same challenging courses, set at 6600+ yards for men and 6000+ yards for women, ensuring college-level playing conditions for all participants.

The AGT’s mission is clear: to help talented golfers improve faster by providing an environment that simulates collegiate competition. Playing longer yardages and tougher course setups gives high school golfers valuable experience and exposure, preparing them for college-level play and increasing their chances of earning scholarships. Many college coaches nationwide endorse AGT tournaments as an essential way to evaluate high school players.

Expert Leadership & Proven Results

Led by Tour Director Carol Fromuth, a respected figure in junior golf with over 40 years of experience, the AGT offers expertly run tournaments with a focus on player development. Carol’s impressive background includes:

  • Two-time NFHSAA National Coach of the Year (2008 & 2020)
  • Six consecutive Missouri State Class 4 Championships as a high school coach
  • Over 30 years on the USGA Girls Junior Committee
  • Certified Rules Official for 15 NCAA Division 1 National Championships

Carol’s expertise and dedication have shaped the AGT into a unique, one-of-a-kind tour that continues to sharpen players' skills year after year.

Challenging Courses & Affordable Competition

The AGT is proud to offer tournaments on quality courses that often host collegiate events. With college-like setups and yardages, players are constantly challenged to improve their game. As a not-for-profit organization, the AGT remains committed to keeping participation affordable, with prizes awarded as NCAA-approved pro shop gift certificates or trophies, depending on state regulations.

High school results are posted to both AJGA and Junior Golf Scoreboard, and PBE Stars are awarded when quotas are met.
